Last week we got through chapter 4 (and partway through 5) of Sipser's Introduction to the Theory of Computation, so this week we will be discussing chapters 5 and 6 of that book, and 7 if we get to it. As always, PDF copies are available for those who need them.

It's not too late to join us! The book is very readable, and we would be happy to help you, so it shouldn't be too hard to catch up.

We are hoping to use this as an opportunity to not only deepen our knowledge of the subject, but also as a chance to create/expand open learning tools (such as a wikibook) on the topic.

Last week we got through chapter 1 of Sipser's Introduction to the Theory of Computation, so this week we will be discussing chapters 2 and 3 of that book, and 4 if we get to it. As always, PDF copies are available for those who need them.

It's not too late to join us! Chapter 1 isn't super complex, and the book is very readable, so it shouldn't be too hard to catch up.

We are hoping to use this as an opportunity to not only deepen our knowledge of the subject, but also as a chance to create/expand open learning tools (such as a wikibook) on the topic.

Last week we decided to switch from Rudin's Principles of Mathematical Analysis to Sipser's Introduction to the Theory of Computation, so this week we will be discussing chapters 1 and 2 of that book. As always, PDF copies are available for those who need them.
